Team formation and player notification will be completed by:
Players will be notified via team postings on the CMYSA website. Players will be identified by their initials and date of birth. Coaches will contact registered players after the August 21st deadline. Players must pay at least the first installment fee in order to confirm his/her roster spot. If a registration/payment has not been completed by 8/21/17, CMYSA may offer the roster spot to another eligible player. If an elevated team has an open spot due to a late registration or player declining, the highest scoring player (based on positional needs) from the second team will be invited to take the spot. Due to these potential changes, final rosters may vary from what is initially announced on the website.
Evaluators will have playing and/or coaching experience and will be impartial to the players they are assessing. Evaluators will be responsible for providing comments on players (focused on the above information) and producing an overall player score for each player (range of 1 to 5). CMYSA will compile data from the assessments and create a final roster for each team.
In addition to tryouts, CMYSA will use coaches’ feedback from the season (if applicable)*
* This information will be utilized for close decisions between players and for large discrepancies between tryout scores and coaches’ evaluations. Final decisions will be made by the DOC.
