REQUIRED CONCUSSION TRAINING FOR CMYSA COACHES
CMYSA Coaches and officials are now required by law to take the free CDC online training course Concussion Training for Coaches.
The above link leads to the training, which is located in the middle of the webpage and takes approximately 45 minutes.
This training must be completed and a copy of the printed certificate needs to be on file with the club before they may coach or officiate for the first time starting with the 2011 Fall and 2012 Summer seasons and once every three years thereafter.
The certificate of completion at the end of the training is proof the course has been taken. This certificate should be printed and a copy should be provided to Mark Helminick, the CMYSA Coaching Director, to have on file. Certificates can emailed to Mark at mark@cmysa.org or mailed to him at;

CMYSA Recreational Soccer League
Before, during and at the conclusion of this years recreational soccer season CMYSA received a number of comments regarding the CMYSA summer rec soccer program. We did our best to provide good answers that were consistent with the mission of the CMYSA Recreational Soccer. Here is a brief summary of the more common questions.
Can we have our friends all play on the same team?
Why don’t we keep league standings?
The games should be more competitive
Why do the younger kids play small sided games?
We want all the kids from one neighborhood to play together
The teams aren’t even
The year end tournament is not fair for the better teams
Recreation League Soccer

·Teams are formed in a random draw for the purpose of creating a fair or balanced distribution of playing talent among all teams participating
·Participation and fun are the focus, not competition
Travel soccer is available for parents or players that desire a more competative enviroment
·Emphasis on learning basic ball handling techniques in grades 1 thru 4
·Small sided games is supported by CMYSA, MYSA and US Soccer Association
·No league standings are recorded and League playoffs are random draws
